'Why I Sing - Portrait of Sinead O'Connor

I painted this while reading Sinead's autobiography. She was outspoken about abuse in the catholic church long before it was exposed, and was vilified for it. She had a difficult childhood but went on to be a successful singer with the voice of a generation. Her battles with her mental health have been well documented but she continues to release music and strives to maintain her musical career.
